BOLIAO! is an initiative by SOYAKAYA to raise funds to support the migrant worker community. Written by three students waiting for university, BOLIAO! is an interactive online magazine aiming to provide a little nonsensical entertainment, humour, and warmth. Through our quizzes, games and articles, we hope you may find a bit of company in the comfort of your own home. 

 

All proceeds raised from the online magazine will go towards the COVID-19 Migrant Support Collation (CMSC). The CMSC is a collaborative effort between Citizen Adventures, Migrant x Me and Singapore Migrant Friends to meet the needs of our migrant friends affected by the Circuit Breaker measures. They provide crucial immediate relief efforts as well as mental and emotional wellness support through their Meaningful Occupational Engagement programmes. The funds raised would not only sustain the provision of the above services, but also allow them to create new initiatives required to address future needs as the situation develops.

 

At a time where we are separated, it is imperative that we - who are so deeply dependent upon human collaboration and being together - extend our care for one another in any way we can, especially to those who will be most affected by this crisis. Our migrant worker friends are an integral part of our community. We believe that by rallying together, we can create an inclusive society built on compassion and kindness.
